A fun time was had by all at last Tuesday’s City Impro & Friends show. We had City Impro tell the story of Jack the scaffolder who builds Waitroses with his boisterous friend Ginger, a press conference that revealed Rupert the Bear murdered poor Winnie the Pooh after being jealous of Winnie’s scarf, and an unsuspecting customer returning his crate of hallucinogenic butter to a shop of similar curious items. In fact we couldn’t believe it wasn’t butter!

We then had the fantastic Goldfish Fire Alarm tell the story of the dancing prawn that was in fact a time reversing machine – but only when an Abba tune is on. We also had brilliant musical improv from Red Lorry Yellow Lorry where we visited the Spiky Spoon Cabaret club that recounted the first world problems Londoners have and an attempt to woo the audience through the power of a heartfelt love song.

City Impro’s next show is this Tuesday. It’s our last one of our season and the last one at the Red Lion in Moorgate. Fear not, you’ll see more of City Impro soon enough – in the meantime do come join us for what will be a spectacular night.

Oh yes, this Tuesday features not just fantastically funny impro from City Impro but also awesome improv from another two guest groups. We welcome back Play It By Ear and The Void for what is going to be a blast of a night. Here’s the details so that you can come on down:
